Cathy's Artist Statement:

Why do I make Art? I  must. I feel that my biggest challenge in doing that is my exuberance. Now that may sound funny, but what it has to do with is the committee in my head that says, “What about this…..what about THIS….Oh but what about THIS!” My challenge is to settle down and work through an idea without skipping all around—too much. I consider myself an explorer: an explorer of ideas and materials. I love the excitement of working with many materials and I also love the follow through to completion even if it takes the time of putting it aside and going back later. Sometimes, I have to wrangle myself to behave.
