"Jacquelyn's Cafe" Print 11 x 14
Kristi Jones is a rising Louisiana artist. She uses a mix of oils, inks, pens, watercolors, and acrylic. Along with weathered wood in some of her works she is influenced by many artists including Van Gogh, Clementine Hunter, Donabeth Jones, and others.
"I create my paintings from my surrounding environment. My influence has primarily been Northwest Louisiana. I also enjoy the culture, architecture, and flavors of New Orleans, which has has been a great influence on my work. I love the farmland of Northwest Caddo Parish, where both of my great grandfathers farmed, and many of my pieces depict cotton fields and farms. Some of my artwork is from old photographs of my grandmother's childhood. I love to capture history, and find old photographs invaluable and a great way to appreciate my heritage." -Kristi Jones
